Coleman Funeral Home of Southaven Mr. Alejandro Ortiz Abundis passed away June 18, 2022, in Memphis, TN. A visitation will be held Friday, June 24, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Coleman Funeral Home of Southaven (626 Star Landing Road, East, Southaven, MS, 38672). A visitation will also be held Saturday, June 25, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., also at Coleman Funeral Home of Southaven. A funeral mass will be held Saturday, June 25, 2022, at 12:30 p.m. at Queen of Peace Catholic Church (8455 Germantown Rd, Olive Branch, MS 38654). Father Timothy Gray, SCJ will be officiating. Coleman Funeral Home of Southaven is in charge of arrangements. Alejandro was born April 24, 1972, in El Mante, Mexico. He is remembered as being an extremely happy person and was always looking for ways to cheer people up. Alejandro always knew how to have fun and how to make others laugh and smile. He loved music and dancing, and was the life of every party. He was also a huge fan of soccer. In his spare time, he enjoyed eating popcorn and drinking a beer while watching his favorite team, the Unam PUMAS. He also loved his parrot, Robot, and all four of his dogs, especially Goffy. Goffy would always be so happy to see him and loved when Alejandro would sing to him. Most importantly, he was a great son, husband, father, friend, and grandfather. He loved being a grandfather to his granddaughter, Anneliese. He was truly a happy soul, and will be deeply missed by friends, family, and everyone who knew him. Mr. Abundis is survived by his wife, Erika Elvira Ramos of Southaven; his daughters, Marycielo Ramos and Judith Monserrath Rodriguez (Christian), both of Southaven; his granddaughter, Anneliese Marie Rodriguez of Southaven; five brothers; three sisters; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.
