Coleman Funeral Home of Olive Branch Bettie Jo Taylor Puckett, of Olive Branch, MS passed away on Wednesday, January 5, 2022. The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 9, 2022 at First Cumberland Presbyterian Church (8161 Germantown Road, Olive Branch, MS) from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. with a service immediately following at 3:00 p.m. Pastor Paul Earhart-Brown will officiate. Bettie was born in Humboldt, TN. She was an Elder at First Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Olive Branch, MS. Bettie was on the Board of Old Town Olive Branch Planning Commission. She had been appointed to the Voting Commission. She was a Member of the Republican Women’s Association. Bettie graduated and received a Doctorate in Education from the University of Mississippi. She loved the city of Olive Branch and was always involved and dedicated to it. She loved Jesus, her family, and Ole Miss football. Hotty Toddy! Bettie was preceded in death by her loving husband, Bill Puckett; her parents, Mai Ross and Joel Cecil Taylor; daughter, Deborah Lynn Sharp; sister, Dorothy Taylor and brothers, Ronald Gael Ross, Cecil Taylor, Lloyd Taylor and Joe Taylor. Bettie is survived by her daughters, Victoria Taylor Snelling (Stephen Pollock) of Prospect, KY, Diane Sharp Weber (Mark) of Olive Branch, MS and Teresa M. Enlow (Chris) of Huron, TN; sons, Thomas W. Puckett (Charlotte) and Timothy W. Puckett of Bartlett, TN; step-daughters, Patricia A Donnell and Catherine Puckett of Memphis, TN; granddaughters, Amanda Hunt (Brian) of Arlington, TN, Melissa Lindeman (Neil) of San Mateo, CA, Jenny Puckett of Jackson, TN, Justine Hodes of Gulfport, MS, Hillary Puckett of Memphis, Anna Montgomery (Richard) of Cordova, TN, Brooke Raudry (Pedro) of Nashville, TN and Shari Fitzpatrick (Jim) of Lansdale, PA; grandsons, Zach Puckett of Houston, TX, Chris Weber (Tara) of Nashville, Jeff Butler of Medina, TN and Seth Pollock (Lauren) of Chalfont, PA and twelve great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in honor of Bettie Puckett to the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church (www.firstcpchurch.org). Interment will be on Monday, January 10, 2022, 11:45 a.m. in Centerville Cemetery in Medina, TN. Online condolences may be left on her tribute wall at www.colemanfuneralhome.com.
