Coleman Funeral Home of Southaven Mrs. Betty Louise Rogers Ray, 78, joined her husband of 62 years, Hancle Perry Ray in Heaven on Tuesday, July 12, 2021. A visitation will be held on Saturday, July 24, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Coleman Funeral Home of Southaven (626 Star Landing Road East, Southaven, MS 38672). A memorial service will immediately follow at 6:00 p.m., also at Coleman Funeral Home of Southaven. Pastor Don Goodrum will officiate. Coleman Funeral Home of Southaven is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Betty Ray was born March 13, 1943, in Memphis, TN, and grew to be a quiet and conscientious, hard working woman. She had an artistic flair and enjoyed to crochet and every season she made the world a little more beautiful with her flower beds. Betty was a long-standing employee of Smith and Nephew, until her retirement fourteen years ago. After her well-earned retirement, Betty was able to spend all of her time with her loyal and doting husband, Hancle, by her side, until his death on June 2, 2021. Betty and Hancle were both lifetime members of Cherry Road Baptist Church in Memphis, TN. Mrs. Betty Ray was preceded in death by her loving husband and partner of 62 years, Hancle Perry Ray; her son, Hancle Perry Ray, Jr.; her parents, Joseph Rogers and Ruth Moore Rogers; and her sister, Nancy Morgan. Mrs. Ray is survived by her two daughters, Anita Sartino of Nesbit, and Lisa Lovett of Atoka, TN; her three sons, Anthony (Jennifer) Ray of Southaven, Richard Ray of Stanton, TN, and Greg (Melissa) Ray of Olive Branch, MS; five granddaughters, Ashley (Josh) Boaz, Emily Ray, Crystal Smith, Nicole Smith, and Kara Tubbs; five grandsons, Thomas Sartino, Jr., Logan Ray Sartino, Peyten (Anais Paez) Warner, Christopher Ray, and Josh (Holly) Ray; six great-granddaughters, Allie Boaz, Haley Ray, Adelina Hook, Amber Turner, Eva Smith, and Brianna Russell; four great-grandsons, Henry Boaz, Christian Turner, Ian Porter, and Ethan Ray; two sisters, Sandra (Doug) Young of TX, and Paula (Russ) Womble of AL; and two brothers, William Rogers of IN, and Joe (LeAnn) Rogers of TN.
