Coleman Funeral Home of Olive Branch Betty Lois Turpin, 89, of Olive Branch, MS passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2022. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 27, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Maples Memorial United Methodist Church (8745 Goodman Road, Olive Branch, MS). A service will follow at 1:00 p.m. Interment in Blocker Cemetery. Rev. Stephen Sparks will officiate. Betty was born on November 11, 1932 in Tyler, TX. She was a member of Maples Memorial United Methodist Church and the Olive Twigs Hospitality Group of Olive Branch. Betty (affectionately known as “Nanny”) loved her family and loved spending time with her grandkids. She was a diehard Arkansas Razorback fan. Betty enjoyed tending her flower beds and working in her yard. She loved spending time with her many church friends. Betty is survived by her daughter, Jody Smart (Lee) of Olive Branch, MS; sons, Mike Turpin (Ann) of Collierville, TN and Tommy Turpin of Southaven, MS; ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Richard Turpin and parents, Lois Virginia Leavitt and Ezra Noel Leavitt.
