Doyle was born to William Daniel and Dorothea Mae Williams on August 16, 1945 in Martin, Tennessee. Throughout his life, he exhibited true Christian ideals and values, as he was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ. Mr. Williams was a member of SouthPoint Church in Southaven and served the church and in Celebrate Recovery at SouthPoint. He was a wonderful husband and provider, and an amazingly devoted father to his seven children. Doyle was a character! He loved to play jokes, pull pranks, and was a friend to everyone, as he truly never met a stranger. He and his wife, Phyllis, loved to travel and as they visited all fifty states, Doyle would frequently run into friends in far corners of the U.S. – even once in Alaska! He collected cups and caps from their vacations and had an enormous collection. As a lover of all sports, Doyle was an avid fan of the Tennessee Titans, the St. Louis Cardinals, and the Memphis Tigers. He was extremely energy conscientious and was always trying save electricity. Doyle could estimate the wattage amount for each household device. Incredibly intelligent, he should have been an engineer! Mr. Doyle Williams leaves his loving wife, of 41 years, Phyllis Williams of Horn Lake, MS; his seven beloved children, Tammy Ann (David) Peth of Middletown, OH, Phyllis DeAnn (David) Gilliam of Harrison, AR, Alecia Dawn (Charles) Brooks of Lake City, AR, Danny Lee (Maggie) Williams of Horn Lake, Michael Lynn Williams of Southaven, Jimmy Dale Williams of Horn Lake, Wesley Shane (Kendra) Rhodes of Arlington, TN; his nine beloved grandchildren, Ariel Grace Alexander of Austin, TX, Jude William Alexander of Fayetteville, AR, Michael Lynn Williams, Jr. of Southaven, Ashlyne J’Na Williams of Southaven, Sylina Rene (David Shane) of Memphis, TN, Danielle Leigh Williams of Walls, MS, William Bailey Brooks of Lake City, Lena Jane Brooks of Lake City, and Weston Coy Rhodes of Arlington; his three beloved great grandchildren, Everleigh Rose Brooks of Lake City, Alayna Nicole McDonald and David Rylan McDonald, both of Memphis; his sister, Winnie (James) Castleman of Martin, TN; his grandpuppies, Abby and Alma of Harrison, Bella and Sadie of Middletown, Ceasar and Dixie of Horn Lake, and Callie of Lake City and a host of friends and extended family to mourn his loss and celebrate his life.
