Coleman Funeral Home of Olive Branch Ella Mae Holt, 85, of Byhalia, MS, passed away on Monday, November 15, 2021.The family will receive friends on Friday, November 19, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Crossroads Baptist Church (125 S. Houston Levee Rd, Eads, TN) with a service to follow at 1:00 p.m. Dr. Monte Shinkle, Concord Baptist Church in Jefferson, City, MO will officiate. Interment in West TN. State Veterans Cemetery at a later date. Ella was born on July 12, 1936 in Osceola, AR. She graduated high school in Blytheville, AR. Ella was married to the love of her life, Charles, for 65 years and was a military wife for 22 years. She loved to sew and make quilts for her family and friends. She was very active in her church. She spent five months in Africa doing missionary work. Ella as a member of the Budd Builders that helped build churches all over the United States. Ella was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She touched many lives and will be missed by all that knew her. Ella is survived by her husband, Charles C. Holt of Byhalia; daughter, Charlotte Holt (Sandy Alexander) of Collierville, TN; sons, Kent W. Holt (Shannon) of Byhalia and Kerry A Holt (Ann) of New Haven, MO; granddaughters, Sarah Brown (Justin) of Jackson, TN, Rebekah Taylor (Nick) of Como, MS, Leah Wilson (Blake) and Abigail Richards (John) of Collierville, TN, Rachel Hurbis (Peyton) of Byhalia; grandsons, Uriah K. Holt (Apryl), Daniel Holt (Diana) and David Holt of Byhalia and Ian Holt (Danielle) of New Haven, MO and twenty great-grandchildren. Ella is preceded in death by her parents, Eula Mae Webb and Franklin Webb. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in honor of Ella Mae Holt to the Wounded Warrior Project (www.woundedwarriorproject.org) or the Folds of Honor (www.foldsofhonor.org).
