Gary Heleniak Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford Graham Garrison “Gary” Heleniak, age 45, died Sunday, February 28, 2010 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, MS. Born in Memphis, TN, he moved to Pontotoc, MS where he grew up and attended school. Mr. Heleniak was an avid football fan having participated in school sports programs. He attended East Mississippi Community College in Scooba, MS where he obtained an associates degree in Mortuary Science. He had worked with U.S. Tire since 1992 in sales and as a licensed mortician since 1987. He had lived in the Oxford area since 2001 after moving from Pontotoc, MS. A member of St. John’s Catholic Church, he also belonged to the Knights of Columbus. A beloved father and husband, he enjoyed spending time with his family. Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 2, 2010, 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at Coleman Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 3, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. in the Coleman Funeral Home Chapel with visitation one hour prior to the service. Father Joe Tonos will officiate. Interment will be in the Garden of Memories located at Coleman Funeral Home. Survivors include his wife, Tammy Anne DeAngelo Heleniak of Oxford, MS; one daughter, Sarah Elizabeth Heleniak of Oxford, MS; his parents, Stan and Martha Heleniak of Pontotoc, MS; one brother, Jason (Molly) Heleniak of Columbus, MS.
