George "Bill" Edward Campbell

March 26, 1929 - April 17, 2022

Coleman Funeral Home of Olive Branch George (Bill) Edward Campbell, 93, of Olive Branch, MS passed away on Easter Sunday, April 17, 2022. The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 21, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at LaBelle Haven Baptist Church in Olive Branch with a service to follow at 12:00 p.m. Reverend Dean Stewart will officiate. Interment will be held at a later date at West Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery. Bill was born on March 26, 1929, in Memphis, TN. He was a member of LaBelle Haven Baptist Church. Bill served our country for 24 years both in the United States Air Force and the United States Army where became a Lieutenant Colonel. He enjoyed cheering on the University of Tennessee Volunteers, where he received his education. Bill loved his family and was always organizing their family reunions. Bill is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Linda Campbell of Olive Branch, MS; son, Edward Campbell of San Diego, CA; daughters, Barbara Cox of Dallas, GA, Karen Freeman of Elmer, NJ, Susan Redfern (Rick) of Austin, TX, Virginia Cranston of Austin, TX, and Jamee Bradshaw of Nesbit, MS; sisters, Carolyn Roten of Southaven, MS, and Sharon Monroe of Olive Branch, MS; and many grandchildren. George was preceded in death by his parents, George and Marjorie Campbell; son, Robert Campbell; daughter, Johna Jaco; brothers, Fred Campbell, Perry Campbell, and Jack Campbell. In lieu of traditional flowers, memorials can be made in honor of George Edward Campbell to the LaBelle Haven Building Fund (www.labellehaven.org/give). In honor of George Edward Campbell’s service to our country, the flag of the United States Army will be flown the day of the service.
