Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford Herbert E. Savage, 66, passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2022. A visitation will be held Friday, July 8, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., at Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford. A graveside service will be held at Pine Flat Cemetery. Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford is in charge of arrangements. Herbert is remembered by his family for being a down to earth person with a humorous personality. He enjoyed working on cars and tinkering around his shop, where he was looking for his next project to unfold. His family now holds the legacy he leaves of being well known and well loved by many. Herbert will be missed and cherished by all those who knew and loved him. Herbert is survived by his wife, Ruth Savage; his daughters, Wanda Barnes, Christina Crow, and Victoria Alexander; his grandchildren, Heather Cofer, Zachary McCracken, Ashley Cofer, Hayden McCracken, Ethan Crow, Ainslee McCracken, Mia McCracken, and Colton Hudgins; his siblings, Harold Savage and Jannie Miller; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Eugene Savage and Addie Irene Smith; and four brothers and four sisters.
