Coleman Funeral Home of Olive Branch Hugh Michael “Mike” Cowan, 67, of Hernando, MS, passed away on Monday, January 24, 2022. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 28, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Coleman Funeral Home (6815 Parkview Blvd, Olive Branch, MS) with a service immediately following at 2:00 p.m. Interment in Forest Hill Memorial Park South. Bro. Allen Lunyon from New Beginnings Baptist Church will officiate. Mike was born on October 31, 1954 in Greenville, MS. He retired from Sonoco Products, where he worked for 42 years. He was the former president of the Duncan Creek Hunting Club. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and being in the outdoors. Hugh loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was married to the love of his life, Carol, for 43 years. Mike is survived by his wife, Carol Cowan of Hernando, MS; daughters, Courtney Watkins (Paul) and Stacy Harvey (TJ) of Olive Branch, MS; son, Tanner Cowan of Southaven, MS; granddaughters, Kiersten Harvey, Kinlynn Harvey and Addison Watkins of Olive Branch; grandsons, Gage Walton and Kyler Harvey of Olive Branch and sister, Beth Owen (Bernis) of Mason, TN.
