Coleman Funeral Home of Olive Branch John Richard Miller, 51, of Guntown, MS went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on February 26, 2022 after a three-year battle with lung cancer. Though cancer had devastated his body here on earth, he is now joyfully resting in the arms of Jesus, where he will forevermore see Jesus face-to-face. John was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was a light and an inspiration to all who knew him. John was born on December 8, 1970 in Tupelo, MS. He was a beloved member of his church connect group, Footprints, at Cornerstone Church in Tupelo. Additionally, he was a tanker on the M60a3 Patton Main Battle Tank, and the M1A1 Abrams Main Battle Tank. Before his cancer diagnosis, John worked at Mitchell’s U-Save in Guntown, MS for 19 years. There he was most fortunate to be employed by his boss and friend, Sam Mitchell. After John was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer, he reluctantly retired his position of produce manager. Nevertheless, John loved and cherished his co-workers and customers. John’s faith gave him the strength daily to walk out his long and difficult battle with cancer. His relationship with God gave him peace in the midst of every storm he faced. John is survived by his wife, Bridgette Miller of Guntown; daughters, Britney Floyd (Skyler) of Olive Branch, MS and Olivia Miller of Booneville, MS; granddaughter, Niyah Murray; grandsons, Colby Floyd, Ezra Floyd, Greyson Brady and Kai Frost; sisters, Kim Miller (Bucky Morris) of Tupelo and Francis Rose of Booneville; mother, Oretia Daugherty of Booneville; father, Jerry Miller of Blue Springs, MS; step-mother, Sharon Miller of Tupelo; aunt Evelyn White of Tupelo; loving in-laws and a host of wonderful nieces and nephews.
