Mr. Lawrence "L.C." Calvin Farley Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Lawrence (L.C.) Calvin Farley, 81, passed away June 20, 2022, in Southaven, MS. A memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., with a memorial service immediately following at 2:00 p.m., both at Coleman Funeral Home of Southaven (626 Star Landing Road East, Southaven, MS 38672). Coleman Funeral Home of Southaven is in charge of the arrangements. L.C. was born August 01, 1940, in Jasper, AL. He attended Walker College in Jasper and the University of Alabama. L.C. was an Air Force Veteran, serving as a medic for several years. He retired from GMAC and then worked for Cox Communications/Manheim in the auto division. L.C. was an avid football fan, especially supporting the SEC and the University of Alabama. Hunting and fishing were two of L.C.’s favorite hobbies. He would sit for hours on a lake enjoying the scenery and catching fish. In his spare time, you would find him on a golf course enjoying a competitive game of golf with his buddies. L.C. especially enjoyed carpentry work, building outside furniture along with beautiful pieces for the inside of his home. It is a comfort to know he is now in heaven with the Master Carpenter. Using his artistic talents, he loved pencil art and played his harmonicas beautifully. As a Christian, he was actively involved in his church in years past and helped lead Bible studies at The Pinnacle of Southaven, his assisted living home. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. L.C. is survived by his wife, Mitzi Smith Farley of Smyrna, TN; his son, Anthony C. (Susan) Farley of Southaven, MS; his daughters, Stephanie J. Farley of Murfreesboro, TN and Alexandria M. Farley of Huntsville, AL; his mother, Alma Allen of Castleberry, AL; his sisters, Joan (Ray) Key of Fort Walton, FL and Mildred (Gerald) Garrett of Castleberry, AL; his grandchildren, Angela (Davis) Herring, Christy (Brian) Zelinski, Brittany (James) Riggins, Brooke Farley; Jimmy Farley, and six great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Clifford P. Farley and his son, Michael W. Farley.
