Coleman Funeral Home of Southaven Mrs. Lisa Marie Medlin Ray, 58, passed away peacefully Tuesday, June 8, 2021, at Baptist Memorial Hospital. A visitation will be held on Friday, June 11, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Coleman Funeral Home of Southaven (626 Star Landing Road East, Southaven, MS 38672). A memorial service will immediately follow at 6:00 p.m., also at Coleman Funeral Home of Southaven. Bro. Jeremy Mew will officiate. Coleman Funeral Home of Southaven is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Ray was born October 1, 1962, in Fort Benning, GA, with an amazingly kind spirit and a generous heart. Lisa loved her family, above all others, including herself. She was a God-fearing, Christian woman and her testimony was displayed daily, as a loyal and dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. Lisa loved animals, especially horses. For many years, she showed and rode her beloved animals. With her prized horse, “Belle” she was a two-time point champion Racking Horse Breeders Association of America. Mrs. Lisa Ray is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Richard Ray of Stanton, TN; her two sons, Christopher “Chris” (Ashley Green) Ray of Southaven, and Joshua “Josh” (Holly Boyd) Ray of Memphis, TN; her two granddaughters, Hailey Michele Ray of Southaven, and Breanna Leanne Russell of Bartlett, TN; her grandson, Ethan Christopher Ray of Southaven; her sister Carol Lynn (Tim South) White of Southaven; and her loving daughter-in-law, Adrienne Michele Ray, whom was such a blessing to her and the family in their time of need. Mrs. Ray was preceded in death by her parents Whitley Andrew Medlin and Mary Marie Mason Medlin.
