Mae Kim Wing Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford Mae Kim Wing, 74, passed away Saturday, August 26, 2006, at her home in Oxford, Mississippi. Mrs. Wing and her husband of 53 years had moved to Oxford from Sledge, MS, in 1999 upon retirement. She was a homemaker, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Mrs. Wing was a member of Oxford-University United Methodist Church. Visitation will be held Monday, August 28, 2006, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Coleman Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 29, 2006, at 3:00 p.m., with a visitation period of 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., at the Oxford-University United Methodist Church with the Rev. Warren Black officiating. Interment will be in the Garden of Memories Cemetery located at Coleman Funeral Home in Oxford; MS. Coleman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Wing is survived by her husband, H. Luck Wing of Oxford, MS; a daughter, D. Lynn Harkins and husband, Patrick, of Tupelo, MS; three sons, Douglas Y. Wing of Jackson, MS; D. Christopher Wing and wife, Anna, of Greensboro, NC; Dale L. Wing and wife, Valarie, of Pontotoc, MS; two sisters, Mamie Joe and husband, Fee, of Ridgeland, MS, and Sue Lum and husband, Gene, of Cleveland, MS; twelve grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Her parents, Wing and Lee Shee Wong and a brother preceded her in death. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials are sent to the American Cancer Society, Mid-South Division, 1380 Livingston Lane, Jackson, MS 39213 or the Oxford-University United Methodist Church, 424 South 10th Street, Oxford, MS 38655.
