Malcolm Houston Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford Malcolm Eugene Houston, age 68, died Friday, July 25, 2008, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo, MS. Born in Flint, Michigan, Mr. Houston had lived in the Oxford area for 28 years after moving from Greenwood, MS. He had been employed in all phases of the food service business. Being artistically gifted, Mr. Houston enjoyed cooking, woodworking, drawing and design, arts and crafts, and was an accomplished cake decorator. He was a member of Temple Heights Baptist Church in Oxford, MS. Visitation will be held Sunday, July 27, 2008, 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at Coleman Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 28, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. in the Coleman Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Brett Williams officiating. Interment will be in the Springville Cemetery, Hwy. 9, Pontotoc, MS. Coleman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Survivors include his wife, Nellie F. Houston of Oxford, MS; two sons, Jeffery Eugene Houston and Willie Ray Tidwell, both of Oxford, MS; one daughter, Kathy D. Rhines of Oxford, MS; two sisters, Hope LeGalley of Mt. Morris, Michigan and Susan Quebec of Black River, Michigan; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Springville Cemetery Fund, Pontotoc, MS.
