Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford Mary Watson Brewer, 56, passed away Saturday, February 04, 2006, at her residence near Oxford, MS. Mrs. Brewer was a member of the Toccopola Homemakers Club, Pontotoc County Historical Society, and the Pine Bluff Church of Christ. She enjoyed spending time with her granddaughters, Hailey and Nicole, growing flowers, reading her Bible daily and collecting historical information about Toccopola. She was a homemaker, a part-time store operator, and operated the Toccopola Museum. Visitation will be held Sunday, February 5, 2006, from 3:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford, MS. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 6, 2006, at 2:00 p.m. in the Coleman Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Nathan Swanson and Bro. Ferrell Hester officiating. Interment will be in the Pine Bluff Church of Christ Cemetery at Toccopola, MS. Coleman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Survivors include her husband, Nicky Brewer of Oxford, MS; a son, Nicky II “Sandy” Brewer and wife, Karin, of Toccopola, MS; four sisters, Ruth Denham of Oxford, MS; Carolyn Heath of Water Valley, MS; Dorothy White of Oxford, MS; Barbara Graham of Water Valley, MS; one brother, Tommy Watson of Oxford, MS; two granddaughters. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Watson and Christine Wells; a step-brother, James P. Wells. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Toccopola Museum, P.O. Box 387, Toccopola, MS 38874.
