Mary Joyce Gibbs Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Coleman Funeral Home of Olive Branch Mary Joyce Gibbs, 74, of Olive Branch, MS passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2022. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 3, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Coleman Funeral Home in Olive Branch (6815 Parkview Blvd. Olive Branch, MS). A service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (1255 Goodman Road East Southaven, MS 38671) on Saturday, June 4, at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Autumn Woods Memorial Park (6240 Davidson Rd, Olive Branch, MS). Bishop Dale Smith will officiate. Mary was born on July 18, 1947 in Memphis, TN. She loved her Savior, Jesus Christ, and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints since 1956. Mary adored her dog, Scruffy, and enjoyed being with family. She loved to watch television and listen to music, especially hymns. Mary will be truly missed. She is survived by her daughter, Connie Britt (Joey) of Olive Branch; son, Tony Brooks of Olive Branch; three grandchildren, Dylan M. Britt of Olive Branch, Grace E. Brooks and Colton L. Brooks of Sequatchie, TN; two sisters, Debbie Long of Bartlett, TN, and Phyllis Owen of Memphis; and a host of nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her special friends, Debbie Green of St. George, UT, Tony Ballard (Chloe) of West Memphis, AR, Travis Ballard (Jamie) Russellville, AR, and Jessie Green (Liana) of Seattle, WA. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Harold Hurt and Violet Louise Owen; two sisters, Janet Cook, Marsha Bridges; and four brothers, Harry Owen, Eddie Owen, Jerry Owen, and Roger Owen.
