Coleman Funeral Home of Olive Branch Rita Hall Sherman, 75, of Olive Branch, MS, passed away on Saturday, February 5, 2022. The family will receive friends on Friday, February 11, 2022 from 9:00 am until 10:00 am with the service to follow at 10:00 am at Coleman Funeral Home of Olive Branch. Brother Michael Lovett of Hope Baptist Church in Olive Branch will officiate. The graveside will be at 11:00 am at Memorial Park South Woods (5485 Hacks Cross Rd, Memphis, TN) after the service. Rita was born on April 3, 1946 in Greenville, MS. She loved her family and grandchildren and loved spending time with them. Rita enjoyed working in her yard and her garden. She liked to crochet and loved making things for her family and friends. Rita was a very generous person and spent time taking care of elderly friends. She loved her pets: Bruiser, Tuffy, GiGi, and Bashful. Rita is survived by her husband, Darwin Odell Sherman of Olive Branch, MS; daughter, Cynthia Roberts (Todd) of Byhalia, MS; granddaughters, Stacy Denman (Shane) of Olive Branch and Leslie Akins (Judd) of Byhalia; great-granddaughter, Tayler; great-grandsons, Caleb, Christopher, Jase and Cloud; sisters, Lavaughn and Myrna and brother, Edward. Rita was preceded in death by her parents, Ethel Nadine Cook and Ollin Otis Cook.
