Coleman Funeral Home of Southaven Robert David Marberry, 82, passed away November 30, 2021, at Baptist Memorial Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Coleman Funeral Home of Southaven (626 Star Landing Rd. East, Southaven, MS 38672) is in charge of arrangements. Robert was born on March 27, 1939, in Crowder, MS with a spirit full of mischief. A natural storyteller, he loved reading and collecting all types of rare and first-edition signed books. One of his favorite topics to read about was Civil War History, and he was particularly fond of the works by William Faulkner. As an animal lover, Robert adopted Margaret and Gisele Fernandez Marberry, who were devoted to him and adored by him. Mostly self-taught, Mr. Marberry, worked for E.H. Crump and Company as an information systems administrator. He had a natural ability for mathematics and was truly a meta-thinker. He loved all puzzles, and there was no subject he could not delve into and master. Mr. Marberry leaves his loving wife of 58 years, Anita Atkins Marberry of Southaven; his two daughters, Robin Marberry (Joe) Casey and Leigh (Alan Whitenton) Marberry, both of Southaven; his granddaughter Hannah Ramsey Casey of Memphis, TN; his nephew, Robert (Mickie) Marberry and his grandnephew, Robert Marberry, Jr., both of Nashville, TN; his nephew Michael (Angie) Marberry of Goodlettesville, TN and many extended family members and friends to cherish his memory. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Leslie and Ruth Marberry and his two brothers Benny Marberry and Edwin Marberry.
