Ruth Jane Bell Baker

Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford Ruth Jane Bell Baker, 73, passed away Thursday, November 17, 2005, at her residence in Oxford, MS. Mrs. Baker had lived in the Oxford area since 1952. She was a retired secretary from the Oxford-Lafayette Business and Industrial Complex. She was a member of North Oxford Baptist Church and a member of the Pilot Club. Visitation will be Friday, 11-18-05, from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at Coleman Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held Saturday, 11-19-05 at 10 a.m. in the Coleman Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Gary Richardson officiating. Interment will be in the North Oxford Baptist Church Cemetery. Coleman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She is survived by her husband, J.P. Baker of Oxford, MS; two sons, Mark Baker of Oxford, MS, and Pat Baker of Charleston, MS; two grandchildren She was preceded in death by her parents, P.E. and Mattie Hunt Bell; a brother, Charles Bell; a sister, Mary Maude Hartjie. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the North Oxford Baptist Church or the organization of the giver’s choice.
