Thomas Morgan Dickens

September 7, 1951 - May 2, 2022

Coleman Funeral Home of Olive Branch Thomas Morgan Dickens Jr (Tommy), 70, of Olive Branch, Mississippi passed away peacefully with loved ones by his side on Monday, May 2, 2022. His battles with cancer showed his courage in facing life's challenges. He stayed strong until the end. Tommy was born in Memphis, Tennessee to the late Thomas Morgan Dickens and Billie Ann Bell Dickens on September 7, 1951. He graduated from Bishop Byrne High School, where he was the quarterback and president of his class. After graduation, he owned and operated DiRossi’s Italian Restaurant for many years until he returned to college. Tommy graduated from Memphis State University with an Electrical Engineering degree. He later became a Senior Electrical Consulting Engineer for Fisher Arnold in Memphis, Tennessee and worked there for the 27 years. Tommy loved fishing, deer hunting, and coaching baseball and soccer with his two sons, Tommy and Chris. He enjoyed spending time with his family at the cabin on the Spring River and playing with his Labradors; Sandi, Big Boy, Mr. Tubby, Ziggy, Lilly and Marley. Tommy was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and gracious friend. Those thankful to have shared his life include his loving wife of 35 years, Charlotte Dickens; sons, Thomas Morgan Dickens IV, and Christopher Dickens (Skylar Stovall); his beloved mother Billie Ann Dickens; sisters Kathryn Vaughan, Patricia Kallenberger, and Barbara Currie; uncle, Thomas Lawrence Bell; and a host of nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to attend services, Friday, May 13 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Olive Branch, Mississippi. Visitation will start at 11:00 a.m. with mass at 12:00 p.m. followed by a luncheon.
