Tina Williams Gilder Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Coleman Funeral Home of Olive Branch Tina Williams Gilder, 66, passed away Wednesday, July 6, 2022 and went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ after a courageous battle with cancer. She was at home and surrounded by her loving family. A memorial service will be held at New Prospect Baptist Church of Olive Branch, MS (310 Hwy 305 N, Olive Branch, MS), where Tina was a member, on Saturday, July 9, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Danny Allen officiating. Prior to the service, the family will receive friends on Saturday, July 9, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Tina was born in 1955 on the 22nd of August and grew up in Greenville, MS where she met her husband, Gary, in high school at Greenville Christian. She graduated from Delta State University and earned her Masters at Mississippi State University. Gary and Tina moved to Cleveland, MS with their daughter Jennifer in 1983. Tina loved being involved with church activities throughout her life. Her heart was always for the children and youth ministries and she knew that leading others to Christ was our ultimate purpose as believers. Tina retired from Bolivar Medical Center in Cleveland, MS after a 35 year career in microbiology. After many years of commuting back and forth to be with her daughter and family, she officially called Olive Branch, MS home in 2020. Tina enjoyed traveling anywhere she could go but her favorite place of solitude was Maggie Valley, NC in the Smoky Mountains. She loved shopping, reading, planting flowers, putting together puzzles and just spending time with family and friends. Tina was an animal lover, especially small dogs and enjoyed collecting anything penguin. She was always working on home projects and keeping a meticulously clean home. She loved decorating for the holidays, especially Christmas! Tina always strived to make every holiday and birthday extra special. Tina loved and cared for her family most of all. She always felt her main calling was to be a good steward in her home and with her family and she did that unwaveringly as an amazing and beautiful daughter, sister, niece, cousin, wife, aunt, mother and meme. Tina found so much joy in life and was always wanting to see the positive in everything. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends who loved and cherished her…until they meet again. Tina is survived by her husband of 47 years, Gary Gilder of Olive Branch; daughter, Jennifer Berryhill (Anthony) of Olive Branch; beloved granddaughter, Shelby Berryhill; her mother, Mary “Polly” Williams of Olive Branch, MS; brother, Gary Williams of Athens, GA; and a host of aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews that she adored. Tina was preceded by her father, Otho Neal Williams.
