Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford Tracy Sheard McGuirt, 39, passed away Wednesday, December 26, 2007. A loved friend has departed from this earth for another land; “For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.” Hebrews 11:10 Mr. Tracy Sheard McGuirt was the son of Willie and Patricia (Penamon) McGuirt in Lafayette County, MS. He confessed hope in Christ at an early age and joined Philadelphia MB Church; then, joined the Church of the Living God where he remained a faithful member until his death. Tracy was a graduate of Oxford High School Class of 1988. He was employed at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, MS. He will be remembered as a loving person who provided for his family and friends in the church and the community. He united in holy matrimony to Bettie Hudson McGuirt on July 18, 1992, and to this union two children were born. Tracy entered everlasting life Wednesday morning, December 26, 2007, at Baptist Memorial Hospital, Oxford, MS. He leaves in remembrance his parents, Willie and Patricia McGuirt of Oxford, MS; his wife, Bettie Hudson McGuirt, of Oxford, MS; two sons, Terrell Hudson and KeyDarius McGuirt, both of Oxford, MS; four brothers, Treber (Tricanna) McGuirt of Oxford, MS, Terence (Usheryll) McGuirt of Tupelo, MS, Darius (Ajanta) McGuirt of Olive Branch, MS, and Alvin Houston of Memphis, TN; one very special brother, Jeffrey Burt of Olive Branch, MS; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held Friday, 12/28/07, from 6 p.m.-7 p.m. at Coleman Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Saturday, 12/29/07, at 2:00 p.m. at the Clear Creek MB Church, Hwy. 6 W., Oxford, MS, with Bishop Calvin Wortham officiating. Interment will be in the Clear Creek MB Church Cemetery. Coleman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
