Born in Oxford, MS, Mr. Winter had lived in Birmingham about 20 years. He had been employed as an engineer with Lisco Gas Company for many years. A period of visitation will be held Sunday, December 7, 2008, from 2:00 p.m.- 4:00 p.m. at Coleman Funeral Home. Coleman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Survivors include his wife, Debbie Winter of Birmingham, AL; one sister, Karen Winter of Oxford, MS; three sons, Steven Sisson, Brent Sisson, and Eric Sisson, all of Birmingham, AL; 7 grandchildren. His parents, Willis and Emma Winter, and one brother, John Winter, all preceded Mr. Winter in death.
