Willie Miller Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford Willie Charles Miller, 68, died Wednesday, February 20, 2008, at Baptist Memorial Hospital East in Memphis, TN. Mr. Miller had lived in the Oxford area his entire life. He was employed as a traffic officer in the Welcome Center at the University of Mississippi. Cooking was a favorite past time for Mr. Miller. He was a member of O.T.S. and a member of the New Hope MB Church. Visitation will be held Monday, February 25, 2008, from 5:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. at Coleman Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 26, 2008 at 12:00 noon at the Tallahatchie-Oxford Missionary Baptist Association Building, 20 Hwy. 334, Oxford, MS, with Rev. Eric Wilson officiating. Interment will be in the Oxford Memorial Cemetery. Coleman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Survivors include his wife, Mary Miller of Oxford, MS; eight children, Willie Buford of Oxford, MS, Charles Miller of Tucsan, AZ, Annette Strickland of Memphis, TN, Gail Berkley of Memphis, TN, Sandra Mullins of Oxford, MS, Shawneka Pettis of Oxford, MS, Lakeisha Sims of Oxford, MS and Kenyetta Sims of Oxford, MS; two sisters, Etta Miller and Rosie Blake, both of Oxford, MS; three brothers, Arthur Miller of Oxford, MS, Willie Earl Miller of Memphis, TN and Henry Miller of Chicago, IL; 17 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. His parents, Henry B. and Fannie May Miller, one brother, Harry Miller, one son, Larry Austin and one grandson, Cedrick E. Terrell, preceded Mr. Miller in death. The repast will be held at the Martin Center, 77 CR 321, Oxford, MS.
