Designing Your Memorial

Plan Ahead Online

Pre-planning a funeral is an extremely personal process. While our experienced pre-need counselors are passionate about helping families and individuals plan ahead, we understand that some may want to make these decisions in private. Using our Online Pre-Planning Tool, families and individuals can complete the entire process, including selecting burial options and completing payment online. This tool is also useful for those who want to get a better idea of funeral options and costs.

Cremation Options

The planning process

Before you begin planing, you will need to have already determined which Coleman Funeral Home location you would like to plan with, who you are planning for and what type of burial is preferred. The online planning process can be summarized into four steps:

  • Choosing a preferred burial type
  • Choosing a service package
  • Choosing burial containers
  • Arranging payment

The first three steps are the same whether you are planning for an imminent death, or making plans for further in the future.

Ground Burial

When will you need our services?

Imminently

The process of planning for an imminent death is the same as making plans for further in the future, except when it comes to the final payment. If you're planning during the final stages of life, or within six months of an expected passing, you will need to pay for the services you plan in full.

In the future

If you are planning for services that will take place more than six months in the future, you will be given several options for payment plans. The plans offered will depend on the age and medical history of the person you are planning for.

*The prices pictured are examples and differ from service to service.

Burial containers

Burial containers

Whether you select a traditional burial or cremation, you will be given a complete list of casket, urn and burial vault options. If you are planning for a burial, you will need to select a casket and burial vault. If you are planning for cremation, you will need to select an urn and an outer burial container. Should you wish to plan for burial without a burial vault or outer burial container, you will need to make a pre-planning appointment with one of our pre-planning counselors.

Service packages

Service packages

Whether you are planning a burial or cremation, you will be offered three different service packages at varying price points. For each option, you are able to view a complete list of services and costs involved.

Mausoleums

The final cost

Once you have finished planning, you will be shown a complete list of the choices you made and the costs related to each service. We will have a copy of this breakdown, but we suggest printing this page for your records.
